I spend two days interviewing Kara's friends, viewing the video. I spot her talking to a bartender I didn't meet. When I go to her apartment I see she's an addict. Paraphernalia and drugs everywhere. I tell her I only care about the vic, give her name, ask about the water. She knows Kara. Tells me about the man who ordered water and followed her. She can't pick him out on the video. I ask for a description. What she gives me matches half the men in Baltimore. Then she adds, "Nothin' special."
